Indonesia's anti-corruption agency on Thursday named a former central bank deputy governor as a suspect in a case of alleged underhand payments to lawmakers that activists hope will trigger a crackdown on institutional graft. The Corruption Eradication Commission said Miranda Swaray Goeltom, 62, Bank Indonesia's senior deputy governor between 2004 and 2009, was suspected of paying members of parliament in travellers' cheques to ensure they elected her to the job.
